HORSE CAMP

HORSE CAMP DESCRIPTION
Camp Lamoka is thrilled to introduce our latest camp focused on all things horses! We’re excited to announce a partnership with Mountain Rose Horse Farm, offering campers an unforgettable riding and learning experience. Participants will stay overnight at Lamoka and spend half of each day enjoying most of our traditional camp activities. Note: Horse Camp participants will miss a few of Lamoka’s afternoon activities since they’ll be at Mountain Rose Horse Farm during those times. However, they will attend both of our daily chapel services.

Each morning, campers will travel to Mountain Rose Horse Farm (10 miles from camp), where they’ll immerse themselves in hands-on horse activities led by our talented horse experts, Rachel and Emily. From late morning to early evening (Tuesday through Friday), campers will learn to ride, care for horses, and assist with ranch chores. They’ll return to Camp Lamoka each evening for dinner and enjoy the rest of the evening with fellow campers.

Space is extremely limited, so register soon to secure a spot in this unique camp!

INFORMATION ABOUT THE HORSE FARM/RANCH
The Mountain Rose Horse Farm is fully insured and is an established Horse ranch that offers equestrian services, training, trail rides, etc throughout the year. It is owned and operated by two Christian sisters Rachel and Emily. They have a passion for horses, teaching young people about horses, and the glory of God! The farm is around 10 miles away from the camp and the transportation to and from the camp will be conducted by responsible camp personnel. Transportation, vehicle(s), the farm, etc are approved, and certified safe, by the Health Deptartment of New York. Campers will be accompanied by staff personnel to the farm, who will stay with them throughout the day, before returning with them to camp in the evening. Campers will also be accompanied by a medical staff member (First Aid and CPR). If you have any questions about the farm, the staff, or any of the details, please contact our office anytime.
