Lamoka’s Teen Camp is designed for ages 12-17. The week starts at 9am on Monday morning and runs till 9am on Saturday morning. Our program is teen-friendly and our aim is camper growth – mentally, socially, spiritually, and physically. To this end, our Camp Counselors purposefully foster friendships in their cabins, reinforce teamwork in camp activities, and encourage spiritual engagement.

Our Teen Camp Schedule includes 2 chapels a day, evening cabin devotions, 3 meals a day (a salad bar is available at both lunch and dinner), group activity times, swimming time, free time, etc. Activities include: nerf tag, gaga ball, swimming, tubing, canoeing, climbing wall, zipline, low ropes challenge course, group games, crafts, carpet ball, archery, dodge ball, 150-foot water slide, soccer, b-ball, volleyball, paintball, archery tag, etc…

WRITING TRACK
This track is specifically designed and led by professional writers for young writers who want to improve their craft while growing closer in their walk with Christ. Spanning five days, our Writing Track will cover topics such as who you are as a Christian writer, the basics of story, character development, and more! This camp will be a good introduction to the craft as well as to the importance of a strong writing community, and it is perfect for any young and aspiring author!

ART TRACK
The Art Track is perfect for the young artist or a camper passionate about pursuing art as their vocation. Our talented and experienced instructors have prepared a program helpful and inspiring for all skill levels, and we look forward to seeing the masterpieces created during this week. In addition to a love of art, our instructors love Jesus and desire to share His love with their campers. Art Track campers will also get to experience all the amazing activities Camp Lamoka is known for, including zip-line, low ropes, archery tag, swimming, tubing, group games, etc!

DESCRIPTION: We call our spiritual emphasis week Θωμασμυς (Thaumasmus). This camp is like no other at Lamoka Baptist Camp, because it is a camp specifically designed for campers who have a passion for digging deeper into the Word of God. It is for those young people (13-18 year olds) in your church who are not satisfied with the easy or simple answers. Campers who attend this week will be able to enjoy the many activities Camp Lamoka has to offer, but they will spend most of their time in Theology Sessions, Workshops, break-out groups, and solo times. These workshops and sessions are led by pastors, theologians, and professors who love the Lord and desire to see young people grow closer to Him. The whole week is designed to assist the camper in furthering their knowledge of the Scriptures and God, while deepening their relationship with Him. The Greek word above means to “marvel at something in more than a matter-of-fact way.” And that is the objective of the week. We desire to look at Theology and study the Scriptures in a way that is exciting and thrilling, and in a way that causes you to rejoice in who God is and what he has done.

Theology and Doctrine are so crucial, especially in this day and age, and we are so overjoyed and passionate about the opportunity to teach it to the young people alongside you, the local church.

Lamoka’s Junior Camp is designed for ages 7-12. The week starts at 9am on Monday morning and runs till 9am on Saturday morning. Our program is kid-friendly and our aim is camper growth – mentally, socially, spiritually, and physically. To this end, our Camp Counselors purposefully foster friendships in their cabins, reinforce teamwork in camp activities, and encourage spiritual engagement.

Our Junior Camp Schedule includes: 2 chapels a day, evening cabin devotions, 3 meals a day (a salad bar is available at both lunch and dinner), group activity times, swimming time, free time, etc. Activities include: horse drawn waggon rides, nerf tag, ga ga ball, swimming, tubing, canoeing, climbing wall, zipline, low ropes challenge course, group games, crafts, carpet ball, archery, dodge ball, 150-foot water slide, soccer, b-ball, volleyball, laser tag, and more! Paintball and Archery tag are not available to this age group.

Starter’s Day Camp is a five-day camping experience for children 4 to 6 years old (entering Pre-K up to 7 years old.) These camps are designed to introduce your young people to camp while teaching them about God and His Word. Starter’s Day Camp is, as the name suggests, a day camp and runs from 9 am to 4 pm,* MONDAY through FRIDAY (see the dates below for more specific information.)

DESCRIPTION

The Teen Retreat is specifically designed to assist young people (ages 13-19) with their spiritual growth while encouraging them stand firm in the Gospel of Christ. Camp Lamoka is serious about helping the church raise up young men and women of faith who are ready and prepared to stand for Christ in a fallen world. This will require training, education, faith, and courage!
